Will Paula Return to American Idol?
July 20th 2009 03:06
The rumor is spreading like wildfire in Hollywood that Paula Abdul may not return to judge on American Idol this next season. The reasons given are that she is hurt and angry because the producers have yet to offer her a contract according to her new manager, David Sonenberg.
Last week, Ryan Seacrest agreed to a three-year, $45 million deal to continue as host of American Idol; while Randy Jackson is signed through 2011 and Kara DioGuardi has expressed interest in returning. Simon Cowell's contract runs through next year, as negotiations continue to keep him around for many more seasons.
Sonenberg said. "I think at this point we're going to be considering everything, including some kind of a competition show. She has tremendous ideas for a whole variety of shows."
It seems I remember her last attempt at her own show in 2007 with The Paula Abdul Show on Bravo. It tanked and sunk faster than the Titanic!
We've heard this all before and at the last minute she signs because poor Paula does not have the sense or personality to carry her own show.
