Let's get Carrie-d away
The Sex and the City series have always been a major hit with women and now there is the movie. Although this is a film review on the first one, this is done now because the second film is coming out soon. (no pun intended, unless you are Samantha)

I've been watching this movie over and over again ever since the DVD came out (again, no pun intended). This will remain a classic follow-up and it feels like every time I watch this, it is like watching a new film. Anyways, back to the film review.
The fashion is AMAZING! Although they didn't win the film with the most outfit changes, it definitely felt that we sat through an entire season of fashion shows. The introduction was very catchy and the new theme song has been jammed up with Fergie which is completely invirorating!
The chemistry between the ladies definitely lingered and it is amazing to still see that after so many years since the end of the series. It is nice to see that all the ladies; Carrie, Charlotte, Samantha and Miranda were going through their own problem but ultimately brought them together again. The wedding would have been so beautiful but of course it is sex and the city, it doesn't go down all the easy! Patricia Field did a wonderful job on the costume designs, they helped to convey the emotions of the characters. It also embodied their personality but in a modern 21st century sort of way. A lot more colours and edgy-ness. Belts were a huge fashion statement in the film.
Charlotte's mishap may have been the most unexpected yet funniest scene ever. Her acting was really good and I enjoyed every minute of that. When Carrie gets back to her apartment, I knew we were gonna see more of the Carrie we were used to in the series. Louise (Jennifer Hudson) played a wonderful job as Carrie's personal assistent. Louise was one hell of a lucky woman to receive a Louis Vuitton bag as a Christmas gift. I guess Carrie is really that popular to be able to afford such a gift. The saddest part of the film was the break up between Smith and Samantha. They made such a good couple and almost even shed a tear.
Of course the film would end on a good note with Carrie and Big being back together, married in the city hall in a labeless dress. The celebration lunch/dinner was really touching, showing that love doesn't need that whole fancy ceremony and celebration but the people whom you love.
Stay tuned to watch the second film that is coming out very soon!!!
Ever mine,
ever thine,
ever ours.
