Kim Kardashian and Tennis?
March 31st 2010 04:41
Kim Kardashian is becoming one of the most recognisable socialite. Good for her! BUT does she really have to be involved with tennis? I thought it was a little weird how she was selected to do the coin toss for the opening match between Roger Federer and Florent Serra. I would like to think that sports and celebrities don't mix very well. When I first read the article, I thought that the tournament is so desperate to get media attention that they had to hire Kim Kardashian to make a public appearance. She probably doesn't even know how the rules of tennis. Personally, I like her but I don't like how she is whoreing herself out just to get publicity. I know she works hard and earns her money but that all happened because she had her infamous tape being made public after being all BFF with Paris Hilton. She seems genuine and nice but the way in which she wants publicity just annoys me. Oh, back to the article, I wish that all celebrities need to stay out of the game and just be a spectator. It is not a good mix! After a while, no one would want to take sports seriously anymore if it is evolved around celebrities all the time. Now, people go to these tournaments to watch the players play but what if the celebrities are playing a much bigger role? Does that mean that the people are going because of the celebrities, not the game? I really hope not because I love to just watch tennis and the players, not the celebrities that are going to make an appearance.
