Gossip Girl - The Sixteen Year Old Virgin

March 23rd 2010 12:58
As the title suggests, this is about Jenny possibly losing her virginity to Damien. The introduction was nice with the appropriate badass soundtrack indicating that Jenny has gone from a good daughter to every parents' worst nightmare. She looked nice from the back with her hair in a bun. I thought to myself that I would really like her hairstyle this episode but no, she had to let her hair down showing her ugly and messy stringy hair. It is even worse than Lilo's hair! She complained about having to undergo the whole "school, home, school, home". What else is a sixteen year old meant to do? Is she supposed to go out to clubs and party because you can't just shop all the time. Remember that she doesn't live at Lily's anymore. Boohoo. If she really wanted to meet Damien and skip school and all, wouldn't you wait until you are actually OUT of your place and call just to make sure?! That was just a reality check.

Blair is just lingering around at Chuck's apartment doing nothing. Another reality check, if Dan and Vanessa are at college then why isn't Blair? Did she drop out or just not live there anymore? Sometimes the gossip girl is really confusing in these areas. So the sexual assault charges on Chuck happened when he was younger? I think we expected a lot more than that. Again, Gossip Girl overhyped this issue.

Haha, Gossip Girl really got me when it went to the sex scene. They first used the same soundtrack that was used for Jenny and then showed us the handbag that was seen on Jenny whilst hearing people moaning. Yes, very clever I must say! Dan and Vanessa's make out scene was hard to watch. They are not a very matchy couple. Then we move onto Jenny and Damien, the big storyline of the episode. They make out but Jenny stops before Damien can go any further. Hmmm, but she agrees on seeing him later on to seal the deal. We knew it from the beginning that Jack would make an appearance when the sexual harassment news broke out to the public. Who else could it have been?

I just took it as a joke when Jenny talked to Serena about her relationship with Damien and her intentions on sleeping with him later that night. Serena has slept with almost the entire cast, so asking her advice is really just a joke. But anyways, it is Gossip Girl. Jack's confrontation with Blair was a good one. They really made me smile, it just brought back all the good episodes from last season (I think it was last season). So if Jack really have had everything of Chuck's worth having then it must mean they did sleep together!!!

Dan's guidelines about his zones with Vanessa was hilarious. Hahaha, he looked so funny when he was saying it. That was bringing the old Humphrey back - "I'll draw you a map". When Blair and Serena get ready in the bathroom, she said "speaking of things we shared" and answered the phone which ended up to be Nate. Haha she really just tells it like it is, that is what I love about her character. She is not hiding anything. I also liked Nate when he indirectly mentioned that Serena was a slut. BONUS POINTS!!! "Concubine of the upper east side" was another excellent quote by Serena herself! It is perfectly worded. (Note: I do like Serena but I think she sleeps with too many characters on the show)

Jenny sits by herself that the party and when Nate approaches she said "go away, traitor". I think that is the first time since season 1 that she sounded her age. For some reason, I thought that was really cute and made me like her again! Yes, no? HOWEVER, when she got up we are shown the dress she wore; a low cute see-through dress revealing her cleavage. That dress is exactly what Serena wears, not Jenny. This show got a whole lot sluttier instead of fashionable! If someone ran away with my sister and whom I know is a drug dealer, I would chase that motherf#cker down and kill him but no Dan had to stand there and watch Nate do that job. This show needs a reality check, sometimes they make the story so artificial.

It turns out that Jenny is still a sixteen year old virgin and Elizabeth is really Chuck's mother. I am still unsure but I believe it for the time being. She is going to take over Chuck's business for a while as the lawsuit is getting more serious. Mr Van Der Woodsen will soon make an appearance as Lily is increasinly associated with him. Vanessa looked surprisingly cute when she was in her own dorm.

The shocker of the night: after Chuck said that he may have another option, I thought that Elizabeth was really in for this for the good but Jack appeared at her doorstep at the end of the episode. I knew it that she wasn't to be trusted. This doesn't look too good for Chuck as the hotel is now in her hands which is Jack's side.

Until next!
