Fall Is The Season Of Music

October 9th 2007 01:21
For many of us, music is the heartbeat of our life. It is what makes us push through the last agonizing minutes of a workout. It is the sound makes all the choas around us drift away and disappear. It's the the pulse that makes us pic ourselves up, dust off and push forward when the bad times get us down. For a lot of us, music is what gives us the reason to push through all the bad and find the good. It is the one constant in our lives. Its the single thing that can breathe life back into your day when you feel you're at the end of your rope.

Fall is truly the season for any music lover. Whether you're a fan of country or alternative, rock or rap there is something coming your way. The next couple months feature some exciting releases and I'm going to preview a few for you below. Be sure and run out to pick up a few of these albums on their release date!

Starting off with September 25th, there will be a few good albums hitting shelves in the stores.
Rascal Flatts, CMA, ACM and CMT vocal group of the year in 2006 returns with Still Feels good. This will be the fifth release by Rascal Flatts. They use to play in front of a handfull of people, and now they sell out shows in stadiums. Their album, Me & My Gang, released in 2006 was the biggest selling album of the year. Any Rascal Flatts fan knows that this album will definitely deliver. It's full of all the things that you love about this band.

Foo Fighters bring forth Echoes Silence Patience & Grace. 'Echoes Silence Patience & Grace' is the Foo Fighters sixth studio album and was recorded in Los Angeles at the band's Studio 606. The album includes a track called The Ballad Of The Beaconsfield Miners in which Dave Grohl pays tribute to some miners that were trapped in Tasmania. When rescuers were finally able to make contact, they were asked if they needed anything. They asked for an iPod with the latest Foo Fighters album, In Your Honor, on it and Dave met up with one after a show in Sydney. He knew one was coming so he wrote the song and dedicated it to him. After the show, they met up for a drink and Dave promised to include it on the album.

On October 2nd, Matchbox Twenty returns with their release, Exile on Mainstream. It's a greatest hits compilation with a twist. The twist? Matchbox Twenty included six new songs on this album. Some familiar favorites made it onto the album as well. It includes the tracks Push, Bent, If You're Gone, Unwell, 3am, Real World and more. Look for this album to be a big seller. After the lucrative solo career of Rob Thomas, one had to wonder if we'd hear anything from Matchbox Twenty again. While it's not a full new album, we'll take what we can get.

After six incredibly successful albums, Faith Hill releases 'Hits.' Her first ever greatest hits compilation. It's sure to be a must have for any Faith Hill fan. Tracks include number one's like Breathe, It Matters To Me and This Kiss. While it also features live performances of Piece of My Heart, There Will Come A Day and Cry.

Having sold over eleven million copies of Back to Bedlam, James Blunt returns with his second release, All The Lost Souls. 'Souls' was recorded in Los Angeles under the direction of Tom Rothrock. Rothrock also worked on the first album. '1973' is the debut single off this album and it's currently getting radio rotation. Atlantic will release this album on September 24th.

Good news for Cake fans. They return with 'B-Sides and Rarities' a collection of covers and B-sides that never found homes on previous albums. Also, in the fall, they will release their first concert disc, Live at the Crystal Palace. As if that weren't enough good news for all you Cake fans, early in 2008 their sixth studio album will hit stores.

October 9th, Kid Rock returns with Rock and Roll Jesus. 'So Hott', which can be previewed on Rock's website, is a strip club worthy beat that's sure to have every girl out on the dance floor, and every guy thankful that the song came to life. This album is a more traditional singing album for Kid Rock and only features one rap song. AC/DC influenced guitars are heavily throughout the album and who doesn't love some good AC/DC inspired riffs in good rock music? This album is going to be the baddest Kid Rock album yet.

LeAnn Rimes releases 'Family,' a fourteen track compilation. 'Family' is Rimes' follow up to the hit record, This Woman and will be released by Curb records. Tracks include Something I can Feel, I Want You With Me, Strangers, Pretty Things, Family and Good Friend and a Glass of Wine.

And Eric Clapton will release 'Complete Clapton' in a nineteen track compilation that is complete, classic Clapton. Some of the tracks included are Ride The River, I can't Stand It, My Fathers Eyes and an unplugged version of Running On Faith. No Clapton collection would be complete without this disc.
